One of the members of the CG/VFX studio Coper team took part in the post-production of The Weeknd’s music video.
This was a unique VFX project completed in just 12 hours. We worked on two main tasks: adding confetti to all the restaurant scenes and creating the final gunshot effect.
To achieve a realistic look, we used particle simulations, tracking, and compositing. Special attention was given to integrating the effects seamlessly into the existing footage so that they appeared completely natural.
The result was highly convincing — making the viewer feel like it was part of the original shoot.
The Weeknd’s music video we contributed to has already surpassed 2 billion views across various platforms, including YouTube.
